Description
The 17AM-D series thermal protector is a sophisticated device designed to enhance the safety and performance of various electrical appliances. This current-sensitive and temperature-responsive protector is connected in series to the motor winding, allowing it to monitor both temperature and current levels. When the winding temperature rises due to excessive current, the device promptly activates a double-metal element that disconnects the circuit, preventing potential damage. Once the temperature falls back to a safe level, the bimetal element resets, restoring the circuit.
Additionally, the 17AM-D+PTC variant incorporates a pulsing PTC element that generates heat during abnormal operation, ensuring continuous protection. This thermal protector is ideal for a wide range of applications, including induction motors, universal motors, transformers, electric tools, and high-power pumps.
