Utilizing advanced capacitive sensing technology, the STO system features two antennas located on the rear bumper. These antennas create a capacitance zone that responds to foot kick actions, enabling the trunk to open upon detecting a specific change in capacitance. The system is designed for effectiveness, measuring changes within a 15cm range from your feet and legs to the antenna. Moreover, safety is prioritized; the trunk will not open while the vehicle is in motion, as power to the ECU is disabled when the ACC is activated.
