Description
The RCD Protected Safety Socket is an essential safety device designed to enhance protection against electrical hazards. This socket incorporates a Residual Current Device (RCD), providing significant safety when using electrical appliances by minimizing the risk of electrocution. The SPR plastic version of the socket can be easily fitted into a standard box with a minimum depth of 25mm. For installations requiring an earth link, the SMR metal type requires wiring to the earth terminal in the box using side knockouts. With user-friendly features, pressing the green reset button (R) will turn the window indicator red, while pressing the white test button (T) turns it black, indicating a successful trip of the RCD. This socket is designed and manufactured in compliance with the relevant clauses of BS7288 and is compatible only with BS1363 plugs equipped with a BS1362 fuse.
