The Ling Ao Nuclear Power Station Phase II is a groundbreaking project that showcases the first independent brand nuclear power technology, known as CPR1000. This demonstration project is pivotal in advancing nuclear power capabilities in the region, relying on state-of-the-art independent projects developed by the State Nuclear Power and Guangdong hospital. The plant aims to enhance the complete control of the conventional island within a second-generation, one million kilowatts-class nuclear power plant. By integrating independent technology and design, this facility sets a new standard in nuclear energy production, utilizing improved design guidelines and fostering the introduction, digestion, and absorption of third-generation nuclear power technology. The main construction began in 2005, with expectations for completion and commercial operation between 2010 and 2011, encompassing two operational units.
