Description
The North Hydropower Station, strategically located north of the Mekong River in Oudomxay province, Laos, is an innovative run-of-river power plant. This project is part of a cascade of hydropower stations designed to harness the natural flow of water while minimizing environmental impact. With a normal water level of 340 meters, the station features 15 stream units that collectively provide an impressive installed capacity of 855 MW. The facility not only generates electricity but also promotes sustainable practices by ensuring the shipping of fish and optimizing the utilization efficiency of the hydropower project.
