The 7-pin Trailer Connector is an economic solution designed for simple applications in the commercial vehicle sector. This 24V system is the most widely utilized for electrical connections between trucks and trailers or semi-trailers, primarily for applications with standard requirements. It complies with ISO standards, featuring a normal connector according to ISO 1185, type N, and an additional connector, type S, in accordance with ISO 3731. The supplementary connector is identifiable by its white housings or contact inserts and a non-interchangeable contact layout.
