Continuous casting technology represents a significant advancement in metallurgical processes, developed through over two decades of expertise and research. Baosteel Engineering has perfected the continuous casting process, roll arrangement design, equipment design, and electric control for various continuous casting machines. Since its inception in 1980, the company has successfully participated in 18 casting projects, including 15 billet and round billet projects, as well as 5 slab continuous casting projects. These projects feature innovative designs such as direct arc type machines, bow type, and vertical type systems. The company’s commitment to excellence is evidenced by its numerous awards, including the First Prize for Excellent Project Design in the Metallurgical Industry in China and recognition from the Jiangxi Province Science and Technology Committee.
