CRCHI’s EPB TBMs (Earth Pressure Balance Tunnel Boring Machines) are designed for a wide range of applications, ensuring safe and efficient tunneling through various geological conditions, including soft soils, gravel, cobble stratum, weathered rock, and hard rock. Ideal for constructing utility tunnels, rail tunnels, highway tunnels, and metropolitan metro systems, these machines utilize excavated material as a support medium to prevent ground settlement.
Featuring an advanced cutterhead equipped with cutting tools, the EPB TBM processes the soil at the tunnel face, mixing it with additives to achieve the required texture. This innovative approach maintains earth balance and prevents soil from entering backup systems, enhancing both speed and safety during tunneling operations.
CRCHI’s EPB TBMs are capable of manufacturing small-diameter (3m to 5m), normal-diameter (5m to 8m), and large-diameter (greater than 8m) machines, making them versatile for various project requirements.
