The FonsWeaver 780B is an advanced intelligent optical switching device designed to meet the demands of modern networking with exceptional flexibility and performance. This device employs a single-stage method to achieve strictly non-blocking cross capabilities for both 160G and 80G multicast, offering a robust upgrade path for cross-matrix capacity. It allows for dynamic configuration based on demand, ensuring a seamless transition between 80G and 160G.

Equipped with low-level service scheduling capabilities at 10G/20G, the FonsWeaver 780B supports a variety of services, including E1/T1 and E3/T3 connections, while incorporating TPS protection for enhanced reliability. The device can support a maximum of 12 STM-64 optical interfaces or a combination of STM-16 and STM-4 optical interfaces, providing comprehensive networking solutions tailored to specific operational needs.

In addition to its optical capabilities, this device features full-speed Ethernet interfaces that support Ethernet Layer 2 switching, virtual concatenation, LCAS, VLAN, QinQ, and embedded RPR, making it an extremely versatile addition to any network infrastructure.
