The Guangxi Naji Navigation Project is an innovative and comprehensive water resources application initiative located near Naji village in Napo town, Tianyang County, Guangxi. This project seamlessly integrates power generation and irrigation systems, showcasing advanced engineering and sustainable practices. It is equipped with three state-of-the-art Bulb Tubular Generating Sets, each boasting a single capacity of 22MW, thereby significantly contributing to the region’s energy needs. The plant has an impressive annual throughput of 5.2 million tons, accommodating 1,000-ton vessels.
In August 2006, a significant contract was signed with Guangxi Xijiang Navigation Construction and Development Co., Ltd. for the monitoring system of the Naji navigation power station and dam. By December 18, 2007, the project was officially opened to navigation, and the first power generating set commenced operations. The third set is anticipated to undergo debugging and become operational by August 2008.
