The mechanical rig is driven by diesel engine and the diesel engine power is transmitted to drawworks, RT and mud pump through compound gear box. The whole transmission system adopt “diesel engine+hydraulicconverter+compound chain box ” or “diesel engine+V” belt compound box”, the iniversal shafts are used to connect between each components. The diesel engine sets and transmission system are installed at low position, and the power is transmitted to RT through universal shaft. The drawworks of LDB rig has four forwad and two reverse shift, and owns hydraulic disc brake as the main brake and eddy-current brake as the auxiliary brake. The drawworks is equipped with AC motor auxiliary driven system which can be used for mast rig up and emergency operation, and provided interface for rig upgrading in the future. The rig is equipped with driller’s cabin where the instrumentation is installed, then partial hydraulicand pneumatic operation can be done in the driller’s cabin to improve the working environment for driller and reduce labor intensity.
