With a remarkable market presence, CSR ZELC has achieved a 70% ownership in electric locomotive production for Chinese railways, exporting its high-quality products to regions such as the Middle East and Central Asia.

In collaboration with Siemens, ZELC has successfully undertaken the project for the Shanghai Pearl Line Phase II, establishing a state-of-the-art metro manufacturing base. This strategic partnership led to the development of A-type metro vehicles capable of reaching speeds of up to 80 km/h, reinforcing ZELC’s commitment to international standards in metro vehicle manufacturing.

The manufacturing base spans over 30,000 m² and is equipped with cutting-edge facilities including carbody, assembly, and static commissioning workshops. ZELC employs a flexible manufacturing system that integrates advanced technologies, ensuring efficient production processes for various types of aluminum alloy metro vehicles, from profile processing to dynamic commissioning.
