Description

The RT Independently Driven (LDB) Rig Series represents a groundbreaking advancement in drilling technology, featuring a mech-electrical compound driven rig. This innovative design allows the RT (Rotary Table) to be powered independently by an AC motor, while the drawworks and mud pump are driven by a diesel engine through either a chain or cardan shaft. This separation of power sources addresses the common issue found in mechanical rigs where the RT speed and mud pump stroke are not independently adjustable.

Designed for efficiency and enhanced performance, the LDB rig incorporates a compound gearbox that drives the drilling rig via universal shafts. Its drawworks offer four forward and two reverse shifts, equipped with a hydraulic disc brake as the primary brake and an eddy-current brake for auxiliary support. An optional auxiliary driven system enables automatic bit feeding and emergency operations, utilizing digital control to ensure smoother trips and improved wellbore conditions. The driller’s cabin features a touch screen display for real-time monitoring of drilling parameters, supported by an instrumentation system for displaying, storing, and printing these crucial metrics.
