The STC Series three-phase A.C. synchronous alternator is designed for versatile use in various environments including urban areas, countryside, worksites, and mountainous regions. This powerful generator serves as a reliable electric power source for lighting and can also function as a backup power supply during emergencies.
Engineered with a drip-proof rotary field type and a harmonic excitation system, the STC alternator ensures easy operation and simple maintenance. This three-phase four-wire generator utilizes a star connection with a neutral point, offering a rated line voltage of 400V and a phase voltage of 230V at a frequency of 50Hz. With a power factor of 0.8 (lag), it can also be customized to provide 60Hz and other voltage configurations as needed.
Designed for flexibility, the STC alternator can be coupled directly with a prime mover or via a V-belt, allowing for both right and reverse continuous rotation at the rated speed. Even with a prime mover revolution slip of 3% and varying loads from 0-100% (Cos 1.0-0.8), it maintains a consistent voltage output, quickly stabilizing after any sudden load changes. Additionally, it can start an unloaded squirrel cage induction motor without any starting devices.
