Description

The Anfu Temple 500kV substation is strategically located in Yiling District of Yichang City, approximately 7.5 km north of the Anfu Sizhen center. This crucial facility plays a significant role in the main channel of the Three Gorges power delivery system, positioning it as a vital component of the Hubei power grid and the Central China Power Grid. Designed to cater to the growing power load needs of Yichang City and its northern power grid, the substation not only supports long-term development of the Yichang grid but also facilitates interconnections with the Jingmen and Jingzhou grids. Additionally, it shares the supply pressure with the Jiangling 500kV converter stations to manage short circuit currents, thereby enhancing the reliability and stability of the power network in the region.
